Sandiaga for Promising the Export of Rattan to China and Vietnam

Jurnal Update. Candidate for Vice-President (Candidate) number 02 Sandiaga Uno promised to stop exporting raw rattan to China and Vietnam if later elected.
This was done after a visit to the center of the rattan industry in Trangsan Village, Gatak, Sukoharjo. During the visit, Sandiaga Uno received complaints from residents. Among other things is the problem of the difficulty of obtaining rattan raw materials.

"If I am given a mandate, it is simple, stop exporting raw rattan to provide opportunities for these crafters to process, so that we can add value," Sandi said on Friday.
"I heard that a lot of it was exported to China, to Vietnam, finally the industry that grew in Vietnam was the same in China. The period we make rich artisans in China and Vietnam? It should be in Indonesia," he said.

According to him, Indonesia has abundant rattan raw materials. He also felt touched by the conditions felt by the craftsmen of Trangsan.
"In Central and Central Kalimantan, rattan is abundant. In fact, there is complaining, why can't I sell it, while here I can't get it," he said.

He also promised to make this government firm. Together with Prabowo Subianto, he will enforce the law for exporters of illegal raw rattan.

"Pak Prabowo and I are firm. We will have a strong government. We must legally engage in illegal exports," he said.

"We don't want to be forced to pay for capital anymore. Finally, the profit is thin, super thin as an ATM card. Even though this country is gemah ripah loh jinawi. It has abundant rattan, but it's like this. rice, "he added.
